World Tour is a single-player story mode with RPG-like mechanics, featuring a customizable player avatar exploring 3D environments with action-adventure gameplay. Fighting Ground contains local and online versus battles as well as training and arcade modes, all featuring similar 2D fighting gameplay to the previous games in the series, in which two fighters use a variety of attacks and special abilities to knock out their opponent. Street Fighter 6 features three overarching game modes: Fighting Ground, World Tour, and Battle Hub. Two new modes will be available alongside: World Tour, an immersive single-player story experience, and Battle Hub, which will further expand the scope of player communication and engagement. Only time will tell when we find out more about these new characters, but one thing is for sure, the art style is just as vibrant as ever. The trailer that was shown during the State of Play seemed to emphasize some open-world aspects, all of which took place on the actual streets of a city. Perhaps the most rounded aspect for each fighter is that they all look like they’ve been fighting in a back-alley way, which seems to be the motif that Street Fighter 6 is pushing here. This includes Marisa, Kimberely, JP, and A.K.I. We also see seven new faces on the roster, all of which sport their own distinctive style. This includes Akuma, who now has super long hair and a massive beard, and Dee Jay, who now sports a spiky afro and some sort of glass device by his face. However, some of the more noteworthy stalwarts seemed to have been given a huge makeover.
Some obvious faces that we can see here include Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, Guile, Cammy, and Zangief.
